#PoemADay No.55: Good Friday

I used to wonder
what could have been good
about the death of God?

How infinitely wretched must we have been
to require the
greatest sacrifice
possible
to cleanse our sins?

Then I heard God say,
don't fret, issa win-win.

‘Cause as you can see,
I am clearly not dead.
So consider this act my Valentine's gift
to you,
because on Sunday,
the prince of this world will be the one revealed
as the April fool.
